The Alameda Unified School District (AUSD) seeks to establish a pool of interested applicants for our General Counsel position. AUSD is a K - 12 public school district located in the San Francisco Bay Area.The role of the General Counsel is to provide direct professional legal counsel and representation to the Board of Education and the Superintendent. Candidates shall be familiar with federal and state laws and regulations, the California Education Code, Title 5 Regulations, labor and employment law, Educational Employment Relations Act, California charter school law, and school finance.

Successful candidate will have their LLM or CPA (or similar cred.) with 5+ years' tax and/or legal experience. Tax attorney must have diverse and tax oriented experience with real estate and business transactions, including drafting of complicated agreements.
